OPEN DOOR is a project funded by the European Commission’s Youth in Action Programme. The aim of the project is to encourage young people living in disadvantaged neighbourhoods to participate in their communities. This will be achieved through a contest that asks them for ideas to improve their local area, then giving them the chance to develop and implement the winning ideas within their communities.

The project will take place in 4 European countries: Italy (Padova), Spain (Madrid), Sweden (Vaxjio) and Greece (Athens - Alimos).

The Open Door Project ended last 13.10.2009, after a european meeting in Bruxelles organized last 28, 29 and 30 September 2009.
